ENGLAND ON THE EDGE OF WINNING !
Hi all, England endured a fruitless toil in a rain played session before the lunch in their bid for a series leveling victory in the third Test against West Indies here on Thursday this week.
At the interval, West Indies were 196 for three in the second innings with R Sarwan unbeaten on 73 and S Chanderpaul not out on 40 on the fifth and final day of the Test at the Antigua Recreation Ground. England's bowlers found the ARG pitch less than accommodating during the morning period cut short by 45 minutes because of this rain.
The Overnight and early morning showers delayed the start, but England failed to make hay while the sun shine in the hour and 15 minutes before the lunch. Hmmm
Pak to resume Test cricket after a long break !
Hi all, the Pakistan will hope to put a series of on and off field disasters behind them and also rebuild under the new captain Younis Khan when they play their first Test after 14 months against Sri Lanka from this Saturday.
The Drug and disciplinary problems and a series of some poor results had already plunged Pakistan into crisis before the multiple bomb blasts and the Mumbai attacks robbed the team it's opportunities. Both Australia and New Zealand both cancelled the matches and India also called off it's visit after this Mumbai incident. This elite Champions Trophy, scheduled for this last September, was put off for a year and then withdrawn from Pakistan board after this completely this month.Meanwhile, also some 17 first-class players remain banned from international play by taking part in the unsanctioned ICL .
West Indies still on the top of the tournament !
Hi all , England and West Indies drew the third Test on Thursday in the dramatic circumstances when play was called off due to the bad light with the home side on a 370-9 and with four overs still to bowl then.As of now West Indies lead the five-match series 1-0.
"I was in my own zone. I have worked a lot on my batting for the past few months and now it's bearing some fruits," said Daren Powell who finished unbeaten on 22 off some 55 balls in a knock spread over the 65 minutes at the Antigua Recreation Ground. Adding to England's problems was a worrying hip injury suffered by the bowler Andrew Flintoff which could rule him out of the next test in Barbados from February 26. He will undergo a scan on Friday in west indies. Also the Star batsman Kevin Pietersen took a nasty blow to his hand while on fielding close in today.

IPL BIDDING GONNA START ON FEB 1ST WEEK
Hi all, the IPL has announced that an exhaustive list of 112 overseas players who will be considered for this second auction in Goa on February 6. Not surprisingly, most of the Australians dominate the list (27) while there is big difference from last year's edition is the addition of some 21 England players.
So each of the franchise has a maximum of US$2m to spend on their overseas signings in this auction, which gets underway on coming February 6, and it is likely that only about 16 players or two per franchise will be chosen out of these 112.
Also the England players will be available for a three week window in the tournament for the next two of the years, with Kevin Pietersen being the star of attraction. Kevin Pietersen has a base price of $1.3 million, and it is expected that he could be the highest paid player so far. Veterans like Dominic Cork and DarrenGough also figure in this list.
